Water-based PU HYPERCOAT 609 (BITUMEN-MODIFIED PU)
Description
HYPERCOAT 609 Water-based PU Leakage prevention Material is a copolycondensate produced from a mix of high performance water-based PU resin from overseas, imported high quality natural rubber filler and emulsified asphalt with superior water resistance.

- Has particularly good adhesion with cement so can be used directly as a soft-base for tile-laying.
- Can be subjected to long periods of immersion in water without bubbling
- Has good adhesion with asphalt and PU so these do not have to be stripped out but can be simply painted over.

Purpose

- Waterproofing and maintenance treatment for rooftops, bathrooms, planter boxes, basement exterior walls and courtyard gardens
- After HYPERCOAT 609 had dried, the surface can be coated on with other waterproofing coating, thermal insulation and protection.

Construction Methods

- Clean the free lime, cement residuals and other contaminants from the substrate.
- For weak points such as cracks and joints, apply primer as first layer HYPERCOAT 609 (5% dilution) together with FIBERGLASS MESH as reinforcement & then apply another neat coat.
- Thoroughly apply as primer on damp working surface for good penetration. Standard coverage: 0.2 to 0.3kg/m2.
- Once primer become dry (about 15~30 minutes, not sticky while walking), then apply 1~2 layers of HYPERCOAT 609.
Total consumption: 1.5 kg/ m2.

- If rooftop has serious powdery problem, it’s recommended to apply 1~2 layers of ITLS 505PS Primer to overcome powdery problem first. The substrate must be dry.
